Next Ensemble at ALLEGED, Ogden, Utah, January 28, 2017
Tonight I’m performing Morris Rosenzweig’s 2005 and Counting: Katrina for solo clarinet and electronics with the Next Ensemble at Alleged in Ogden, UT. The piece includes the voices and stories of the victims of Hurricane Katrina, victims natural disaster, the gov, themselves. Protest music, critical music. Also a new percussion & electronics piece by Devin Maxwell, Cloudseeding 5, which is about lying about the weather, the fifth installment.

Tonight we play Brian Harnetty’s Shawnee, Ohio again at the Wexner Art Center in Columbus. In addition to ghosts, I’m playing with some great musicians. A deeply moving deeply American piece, so happy to be a part of it.
